Bellanini Biscotti:

A Legacy of Love

It all began in the charming hills of Tuscany, where my great-grandmother Santina Giovannoni first perfected her biscotti recipe in her humble kitchen in Lucca, Italy. Using simple yet exquisite ingredients like almonds, anise, and brandy, she created a biscotti that wasn’t just a treat—it was an experience. Each batch carried the essence of Italian hospitality, bringing family and friends together around her table. Her biscotti quickly became a tradition, a staple at every gathering, and a symbol of love and connection.

That tradition was passed down to my mom, Linda Varni, who spent countless hours in the kitchen by her Nonni’s side. It was there that my mom learned the art of biscotti-making. More than lessons in baking, making biscotti was a connection to her heritage, filled with laughter, love, and the aromas of roasted almonds and anise. When she became a mom, she passed the recipe and the joy of baking onto me. Her warmth, joy, and generosity filled the kitchen, and those moments became a cornerstone of who I am today. 

After my mom passed away in 2022, I knew I wanted to honor her memory in a way that truly reflected the love she brought into our lives. That’s how Bellanini Biscotti was born. The name itself is a tribute to our family’s legacy of love. “Bella” was my mother’s family nickname and “Nini” was mine. Bellanini is a celebration of family, tradition, and the joy of sharing something made from the heart. 

At Bellanini, we combine the timeless traditions of our Italian heritage with a modern twist to create biscotti that are anything but boring. Each biscotti is handmade with care, baked twice for the perfect crunch, and infused with flavors inspired by both classic and contemporary tastes. From our original OG Bella- the very recipe Santina created- to bold, playful flavors like Joe Momma and The 3 Chocolatiers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
